Where do I start? I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself. 

I'm a self confessed food and wine nut, trained as a chef many years ago at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London, but alas left it too late to break into the culinary trade. That said I have never lost my passion for food and wine and hope that a culinary plan B will be on the cards at some point. I also have a thing for cookery books and where some women buy shoes, I buy cook books.

I grew up in Ireland, then spent 18 years living and working in London and am now based in the Land of Clogs in Leiden.

I'd like to share with you my culinary journey, with recipes, restaurant reviews and general observations on the trials and tribulations of cooking in Cloggers, a land not known for its culinary reputation.
